What was expected to be a close encounter, turned out to be a lopsided affair as the Rajasthan Royals registered an emphatic 19-run win over defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. It was a spirited effort with the ball to defend 144 against a formidable batting unit of the KKR. Here is the look at the moments which caught maximum eye-balls on Monday. Lee traps Watson early: Shane Watson replaced the belligerent Kusal Perera to set the ball rolling with Ajinkya Rahane. It didn't turn out to be happy outing for the Aussie all-rounder as former team-mate Brett Lee sent him back to the hut in the third over of the innings. Watson's departure forced the Royals in recovery mode and dried up the flow of runs.

Rahane-Hodge partnership: Courtesy some good tight bowling, Royals were reduced to 63/3 in the 10th over itself. It was important for the home side to have a decent partnership in the middle to give their bowlers something to bowl at. The team found an able duo in Ajinkya Rahane and Brad Hodge who not only scored runs but scored at a brisk pace. Hodge holds fort: After Rahane's departure, Hodge took the responsibility of batting through the innings and scored a fluent 46(not out). The right-hander took most of the strike and ensured there is enough on the board for the home side. Shukla's double: Royals' seamer Rahul Shukla bowled his heart out and produced a double strike to send Manvinder Bisla and Jacques Kallis back in the hut. The double strike reduced KKR to 20/2 and pushed them onto the back-foot early in their run-chase.
