Salman Khan to change Indian perception of children's filmSalman Khan's first production venture has created quite a buzz. Marketed as one the most awaited children's films of the year, Salman chose to produce the film for mainly two important reasons. First one being that he thoroughly loved the way it has been shot and secondly he strongly wants to change the way children's films are perceived in India.

In the recent past, children's films have been associated mainly animated and fantasy movies. However, this is for the first time that a film like Chillar Party is made for kids that touches an extremely sensitive subject.

The film is about a gang of nine kids and a dog who fight the big bad world of politics and show that even children can move mountains. Unfortunately, till now no one thought kids of that age would have that kind of sensibility to understand such a sensitive topic and craft it so beautifully.

Other critically acclaimed films like Taare Zameen Par and Stanely Ka Dabba were about kids and not necessarily for kids. This is in fact for the first time that we have a film like Chillar Party which narrates the story in a sensitive light along with added humour in the film. “We just could not just do any random film under SKBH productions. The film is for people who love their childhood friends. It's for people who love pets and children. It is a touching film. However, at the same time, it is entertaining,” said Salman in a recent interview.
