Subtle jibes and potshots then become the verbal brickbats in this professional rivalry. One such dig has come from Kareena Kapoor and it is aimed at her closest competitor for the top spot, Katrina Kaif. While Katrina is known never to badmouth anyone, Kareena Kapoor, it’s learnt, has taken a few biting blows at Kat in director Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Heroine.

In one scene in the film, when Kareena Kapoor addresses the media, she talks about how pretty girls go on to make a career for themselves in the film industry solely by dint of their superstar boyfriends. Now, we don’t need to tell you at whom this jibe is aimed. If this barb wasn’t clear enough, the character of Mahi, an actress, played by Kareena Kapoor, also goes on to say that she would love to check her rival’s passport to confirm her nationality and age.
