The biggest hit of 2010, ‘Dabangg’ has a sequel coming up in the near future but according to the reports, the shooting for same does not start before January 2012. Apparently, Salman was in a hurry to get started with the project but Arbaaz, who`s directing for the first time is in no hurry to begin the film. Salman himself is running busy with working on his ongoing films at the moment. He is currently busy working on his brother-in-law’s upcoming film ‘Bodyguard’ and director Kabir Khan’s next ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. A source close to the sequel revealed to a daily, "Arbaaz will start the ‘Dabangg’ sequel in early 2012. Since he`s directing it, there are more responsibilities on him than the last time, and he doesn`t want to rush in unprepared. The sequel has to match upto ‘Dabangg,’ and to ensure that, the director has to prep a lot.”

The source also added, "‘Dabangg 2’ will be a continuation of the first. The film will pick up where it ended and Salman, Sonakshi, Sonu Sood will make an appearance in the part 2 as well. Rest of the cast is being worked out. Arbaaz has got the first draft and he will start working on it. "

Arbaaz confirmed to a daily, "Yes, the sequel will start early next year. Salman will be giving the requisite dates. It`s too soon to comment on anything else." Well, whenever the sequel comes we are sure it will be a highly anticipate film by all Salman fans!
