It's like the perfect script of a Bollywood flick where a bad boy denounces crime and hatred to pursue his love.  Korsa Joga, a senoir Maoist leader, quit the Red movement to live a peaceful life with his lady love Varlakshmi, a school teacher in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Unable to convince his seniors for the marriage, 28-year-old Joga fled the area with her in February this year.  While running away, Joga also took along Rs 10 lakh, which he extorted as 'levy' from a local contractor. Before leaving the forests, Joga was hopeful that he would be able to live a peaceful life after buying a house and starting a new business with the money, but in course of the run, he spent almost half of it.

Guns and roses: Maoist shuns violence for love in Bollywood style!

First, they went to Karnataka and stayed in hotels. They continously shifted locations to evade arrest and traced out by Joga's ex-colleagues. Language and interaction with the local people was a big hurdle for them as they never travlled out of the state before. So, both of them went to Andhra Pradesh as Joga knows little bit of Telugu. Despite all the odds, Joga is determined to start life afresh with his wife. Recalling his first meeting, Joga said, "As a routine exrecise, we were visiting a village when I saw her in the school. We never stop at a place for too long, due to safety point of view. But, I convinced my senior to stay there for some more time so that I can talk to her."

As member of the South Bastar Committee, Joga had to often meet with local teachers, contractors and village heads. After being struck by Cupid, he started meeting Varlakshmi more often and one day he expressed his love and proposed her for marriage. Varlakshmi agreed to Joga's proposal, but asked him to quit violence. Joga and Varlakshmi affair could not remain a secret from the Naxal top brass for too long. Party boss did not agree to the relationship and Joga was asked not to meet Varlakshmi and instead he was told to get married to someone from the party.  Finally, when Joga saw no hopes, he decided to flee the forest for Varlakshmi. And together they live happily ever after!
