After Priyanka, John gets inspired by Big B

The Bachchan influence on Shootout At Wadala continues. If his 'Yaarana' outfit was a source of inspiration for Priyanka Chopra's dance number 'Babli Badmaash', it's now the turn of Hum to be the centre of attraction. Amitabh Bachchan's trademark outfit from the chartbuster 'Jumma Chumma De De' song has now been worn by John Abraham in the much-hyped track, 'Laila Teri Le Legi'. "White shirt, black trousers, black jacket and a red stole - This combination worn by Mr. Bachchan was a rage when he wooed Kimi Katkar for a kiss. Now that Sunny Leone is throwing an open invitation without disguising words, John is more than happy to comply. Though the setting is different from the factory backdrop that 'Jumma Chumma' had ('Laila' is set in a mohalla), the fun element remains constant.

What adds on to the vintage quotient is John Abraham getting into the Big B dress," informs a source from Balaji. Incidentally, John and Big B have worked together earlier in Aetbaar where former played the part of lover-turned-foe. However for 'Laila', he is paying the living legend a fitting tribute. Says Sanjay Gupta, "You can't claim to make a film set in the bygone era and not get influenced by Mr. Bachchan. We all have grown up on his films. His songs like 'Saara Zamaana' [Yaarana] and 'Jumma Chumma' [Hum] are chartbusters of the times gone by. I am proud and honoured to be living those times again with my songs." Though John didn't even attempt matching Big B's steps in 'Laila', he made sure that the ever-so-memorable outfit never lost its sheen on him. Would there be more Bachchan influences in the film?
