Shankar the hero of the movie, after falling in love, marries Paro, the heroine and decides to change his life and not to do anything wrong or criminal ever again. . On his honeymoon night, he is caught by the poice, for a previous crime, and is jailed. The incidnet of leaving his wife behind, whom he loves so dearly, makes him even more determined to discipline his life He is not only model prisoner, but has been recommended for parole by the jailer, because of his credit-table behaviour and good conduct and example set to the other prisoners. . Certain corrupt business men in society, the leader of these Mr.Verma puts undue pressure on Shankar to co-operate with them in some crimin- al doings. Shanker has previously repeatedly refused, until they threaten the safety of Paro, his wife. Under this pressure, Shanker bows to their demands Shanker sends Paro against her wishes to intimate Mr.Verma. Mr.Verma drugs and raps her. Paro does not reveal this incident to Shanker, because she firmly believes that it will lead Shanker to commit another crime the murder of Mr.Verma. She chooses to suffer the agony alone. . During the various happenings, which come and go so unexpectedly, Shanker finds out that Mr.Verma has not only embezzled money from the Organisation, he was involved with, but also has drugged and raped Paro. . Shanker, initially is under great emotional turmoil and does not readily accept his wife, whom he has loved so dearly, but as time passes, he realises that Paro, is not to be blamed and finally accepts her, before it too late. He also finally catches up with the corrupt businesman, Mr.Verma makes him admit all his crimes, which the police are aware of Shanker is also caught and punished for his crimes and sentenced to jail for a second term. . After completing his prison sentence, he leves the jail, and finds Paro still waiting for him.
