Raj hailing from an affluent family fell in love with an ordinary dancer Roopa. As his father wanted to have him married into a family of status he dissuaded her from pursuing him. Raj now married a girl befitting his station. Roopa in despondence committed suicide. Raj got a son Vijay when his wife died. Vijay went abroad for his studies As Raj felt too distracted he fell for liquor and a dancing girl Deepa Vijay saw it that Raj married Deepa on condition that his property went to her progeny. Deepa was Roopas sister and when she realised Rajs love for Roopa she was reconciled with him and happy.
