Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Barfi' leads IIFA 2013 nominations

The nominations of IIFA 2013 awards have been announced and Ranbir Kapoor  starrer and Anurag Basu directed movie ‘Barfi!’ won maximum nominations. Barfi was nominated in 13 categories including best actor and best actress. Movies like Vicky Donor, Gangs Of Wasseypur and Agneepath also scored high in the nomination. The IIFA voting started from March, and the resulting nominations list reflects the diverse and flourishing landscape of the Hindi film industry at present.

"It's been a phenomenal year for the Indian film industry and the nominations for this year will definitely reflect this. The growth has been remarkable," Sabbas Joseph, director, Wizcraft International Entertainment and IIFA, said in a statement. The results of the IIFA Voting Weekend were audited by KPMG. The online voting for the awards will go live on www.iifa.com, and audiences will be able to cast their votes starting May 1. The venue and dates for IIFA 2013 gala event are likely to be announced early next month.
