Mithun Chakraborty's film censored over Kat-Bips song

His son's comeback film faces Censor Board ire over lyrics that mention Bips, Bebo, PeeCee, Kat... Shakira and Madonna as well. Now, an NOC is required from all of them Five years after he made a disastrous debut, Mahaakshay or Mimoh as you remember him, is riding on yet another controversy for his second jab at stardom. His latest film, Enemmy, produced by his parents Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali, is set for release, and has the original Disco Dancer make an appearance to add muscle to his son's film. But true to its name, the film has already ruffled a few feathers. The CBFC (Censor Board of Film Certification) has rejected a song in Enemmy that boasts of some very poetic lines: Dil pe kadam jo main rakh dun, Katrina ko, Kareena ko, Bipasha ko, Priyanka ko, Madonna ko, Shakira ko, pani kum, chai kar dun. Finding the lyrics rather objectionable, the Board has asked the makers to get an NOC from Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu before the song is sent again for their approval.

At the time of going to press, it was not clear if an NOC was required from the other divas - Madonna and Shakira - as well. But we will conduct that investigation some other day. A source told TOI: "This happened on Tuesday. The director, Ashu Trikha feels that he has done no wrong. The argument he has put forward is that Kareena, Priyanka, Katrina and Bipasha can be anybody and not necessarily the actresses."when contacted, Trikha confirmed the story and added: "There is little we can do about this. Mithun is aware of it. But right now, he is in Tashkent." When contacted, Trikha confirmed the story and added: "There is little we can do about this. Mithun is aware of it. But right now, he is in Tashkent." Later in the day Trikha's associate informed us that the song in question is being removed from the DVD. And they are seeking approval for the rest of the songs.
