Ekta Kapoor's next production Badtameez Dil has Emraan Hashmi and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles. When the Kissing King approached Ekta with a plea to make room for a smooching sequence in the film, and Ekta, in turn, spoke with Kareena regarding the same, the Kapoor kanya turned down the offer right away.

Emraan must be feeling blue for the film's box-office results. He had to swallow the bitter pill post his earlier no-kissing ventures hit the theatres. Shanghai, Ek Thi Daayan and Ghanchakkar were all minus his kissing stints, and all failed to strike a chord with the viewers.
