Preity Zinta has slammed recent reports that a warrant for her arrest had been issued after failing to pay writer Abbas Tyrewala. The Bollywood actor is reported to have been issued with a non-bailable arrest warrant over an alleged bounced check. "Dear Media, please investigate stories involving celebrities properly before being in a rush to carry it for TRP as you're indulging in defamation," Zinta tweeted on Saturday (September 14).
The Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna actor went on to add that the media had not printed her clarification of the situation. She wrote: "Surprisingly I have not seen my statements made to the press any where and it's sad how any news is news today irrespective of the truth." Zinta's cheque for 18.9 lakh was not honoured by the bank following the commercial failure of Ishq In Paris, her first movie as a producer.
