The actor has reportedly agreed to shoot a promotional video for the Anurag Kashyap film. Grapevine was ripe with rumours about Ranbir Kapoor being unhappy with the final cut of his film Bombay Velvet. Sources close to the project even suggested that the actor wants director Anurag Kashyap to re-shoot the film as he was not satisfied with the outcome. But now we hear that in order to dismiss these rumours, the actor has decided to feature in a promotional video for the film. Ranbir is currently busy shooting in Thailand for his upcoming home production, Jagga Jasoos but he has given Kashyap some dates to shoot the promotional song. Though the Bombay Velvet actor has refrained from commenting on this upcoming song of his, director Anurag Kashyap was quoted saying, “Ranbir has loved the film.
He is willing to do anything for us . I’m just waiting to share the film with the audience now because I am tired of people telling me that my edit is not locked or that I will be re-shooting the film. It’s an expensive film and re-shooting it is a big and expensive decision, and not one that we’re taking.” A source close to the project reveals, “Anurag and his team are working on the theme of the song. It will feature Ranbir and they have few months before they start shooting with him. The idea has already been shared with him and he has given his go-ahead.” Well, we would have believed that all is well in the Bombay Velvet paradise had the Kapoor lad shot sown rumours personally by commenting on the same. For now we hope that this promotional song is good enough to bog down any reports regarding discontent between Kashyap and Kapoor.
