Is Naseeruddin Shah’s role in ‘The Dirty Picture’ based on superstar Rajinikanth ‘s life? Seems like it or so his fans have claimed. While Naseer playing a Tamil superstar in the film is a common knowledge, many of Rajini’s fans have drawn parallel between Naseer’s role and Rajini’s life and have raised objection to it.

The film, which is based on southern star Silk Smitha’s life has Vidya Balan playing the lead role. Trailers of the film show, Vidya doing some raunchy moves with Naseer. Apparently, back in the 80s Rajinikanth had also done few dance numbers with Smitha. Now some of his fans have found similarity between Naseer’s role and Rajni’s past. They have demanded that producer Ekta Kapoor removes certain ‘objectionable’ scenes from the film.

However, the makers of the film have denied any resemblance to the superstar. They have stated that Naseer plays an ageing superstar in the film while Rajni in the 80s was a young star. But the fans are not that convinced it seems. They have threatened the production with dire consequences if the superstar is portrayed in a bad light.
