Ranbir Kapoor it seems has truly worked hard for his role in Rockstar. He actually spent time with a Jat family on the outskirts of Delhi. Both director Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir would hang out with the young boys of the family in a bid to pick up their mannerisms.

They’d sleep on the cot, eat out at the local dhabas and smoke hookah in the evening. Ranbir even assisted the men in the household chores like milking the cows. Talk about getting into the skin of the character.
