Sourav Ganguly hopes BCCI-Sahara bury the hatchet

As the BCCI-Sahara feud hangs in mid air, the franchise players and others are hoping for a turnaround in events. One of them is former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who feels sorting out differences will stabilise things  for his IPL team, Pune Warriors.

“Hopefully, it will be sorted out and we will get to play cricket. I am looking forward to this year's IPL and I hope the bosses of Sahara and BCCI settle this one out. Remember, there are quite a lot of players who are waiting to take the field,” he told Times Of India on Wednesday.

Ganguly added that although it will be difficult to play without the services of their main player, Yuvraj Singh; key players like Robin Uthappa, Graeme Smith and Angelo Matthews can produce strong results if they come good in the tournament. The ex-skipper said that he was keeping himself fit all the time, even while commentating for the ongoing India-Australia series; apart from having played a few Ranji Trophy games this season. Talking about Team India’s current Test form, Ganguly hoped for a comeback and was optimistic about his side.
