It seems Vishal Bhardwaj is in no hurry to start filming 2 States, his ambitious project with Shah Rukh Khan which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel. The director seems more interested in his other project which is a social satire. Making progress on the yet untitled film, the director has signed Anushka Sharma to play the female kead opposite Ajay Devgan. Vishal says he was keen on working with Anushka as he loved her performances in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, her debut film opposite SRK, and Band Baaja Baaraat. On the other hand, when Vishal offered the role to Anushka, she instantly agreed as she has been a huge admirer of the Omkara filmmaker. Looks like the state of 2 States is to wait in the pipeline for some time!
