Tabu to return in guntoting avatar of a gangster in Revolver Rani

The reclusive Tabu is all set to return to Bollywood in the guntoting avatar of a gangster. The two- time National Award winning actor, who has stayed away from the limelight for the past couple of years, will play the central role in Tigmanshu Dhuliaas just- announced production, Revolver Rani.

The film will see Tabu, 40, essay the role of an outlaw in a tale of revenge and redemption set in the interiors of Madhya Pradesh. Notably, Dhulia also shot his last release, the crossover hit, Paan Singh Tomar, in the same region.

The film-maker reportedly plans to finalise the rest of the cast and crew of Revolver Rani within the next month or so, and the film is set to go on floors by the end of this year. Sources close to the filmas unit say Revolver Rani will be directed by Sai Kabir, who has made his mark as a writer in Bollywood.

Best known for his hard- hitting dialogues in Rahul Dholakiaas Sanjay Dutt- starrer Lamhaa , Kabir also penned the screenplay for Kismat Konnection , starring Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan. Tabuas last Bollywood release was Toh Baat Pakki in 2010.

Since then, she has only been seen in a cameo in Santosh Sivanas Malayalam film, Urumi . She recently signed Shaitan director Bejoy Nambiaras next film, David , a multistarrer where she will share screen space with a huge National Award winner Tabu will play an outlaw in Tigmanshu Dhuliaas ( left) production Revolver Rani , expected to go on floors this year.

Cast including Tamil superstar Vikram, Lara Dutta, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Isha Sharvani, Monica Dogra, Vinay Virmani and Shweta Pandit. Incidentally, David , like Revolver Rani, also has an action role in store for Tabu.

Right now, the actor is waiting for the release of Oscar winner Ang Leeas much- hyped Hollywood film, Life Of Pi , based on Yann Martelas Booker Prize- winning novel. Apart from David, she just has one more Bollywood film in hand Ravi Chopraas much- delayed Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai opposite Govinda.
