Excited fans barred from Shah Rukh Khan's shooting spot in Pahalgam

There is a huge excitement in Kashmir as Shah Rukh Khan shoots for Yash Chopra's as-yet untitled film. Many excited fans gathered near the shoot location Pahalgam today, hoping for a glimpse of their favourite star. However, they were left disappointed. Even as SRK tweeted that the visit to Kashmir, his very first ever to the state, would have made his late father very happy, local fans were barred from getting too close to the location. The entire area where the actor is shooting has been cordoned off by the police and curious onlookers were chased away from the site.

"We faced a lot of difficulties as the police didn't let us go to the site or get a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan," said a disappointed fan. "The cops should have made prior arrangements if there were security concerns. Now when the public has already gathered to see Shah Rukh, it is wrong on their part to block the area," remarked another fan.

Shah Rukh Khan arrived in Srinagar on Monday to shoot in the Kashmir Valley for the first time in his over two-decade-old film career. He immediately left for Pahalgam in a chopper where director Yash Chopra and his crew have been camping for the last five days. The unit will reportedly be shooting in Pahalgam for a week, after which it will head to Srinagar and start shooting in the Zabarwan Hills, Dal Lake and Lal Chowk. They have already completed a schedule in Ladakh, and, earlier, in London.
