Will Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger cross 300 crore mark?

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger has indeed broken all records. From fastest Rs.100 crore to crossing Rs.200 crore, the producers of the film are laughing all the way to the bank. In fact, in less than a fortnight, it had grossed over Rs.200 crores! So besides creating the record of the highest opening day ever with a Rs. 32.92 crore, the film had also managed to break all opening weekend records too.

Seems like Ek Tha Tiger could soon cross the 300 crore mark too and even break the record haul of 3 Idiots, which was Rs. 385 crore. Ek Tha Tiger is the story of a RAW spy, played by Salman Khan. The film released on August 15, 2012. Ek Tha Tiger being remade in Tamil?

There are reports in the media that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will remake this commercial entertainer in Tamil. Rumors of a remake of the film in Telugu are being suggested as well but no names have been suggested so far for Telugu. Grapevine has it that Editor Mohan has bought the Tamil remake rights of the film. The film might be directed by Jayam Raja who worked with Vijay in Velayudham.

No sequel to Ek Tha Tiger Despite the ending of Salman Khan starrer superhit film 'Ek Tha Tiger' leaving a scope for a sequel, the makers have denied any such move. "We have not thought of a sequel for 'Ek Tha Tiger'. We don't have any idea (story line) for the sequel," Kabir informed.

Even the producers have denied making a sequel. "With the success of the film, it would be the obvious conclusion for anybody to assume that the film deserves a sequel. However, as of now, there are no such plans and it is more conjecture," Yash Raj Films' vice president (marketing and communications) Rafiq Gangjee said.
