A few days ago, doting son Aamir Khan took time off from work to take his mother, Zeenat Hussain, to Mecca on Haj.Now, he’s putting off work for a few more days, this time for wife Kiran Rao. On November 7, the couple will celebrate Kiran’s birthday at their home in Panchgani.

“Aamir has returned to city (from Haj) after two weeks. And before he plunges into full-scale promotions for Talaash, following which he has to shoot for Dhoom:3 and P.K, he wants to take Kiran out for four days.

Once he starts work on his films, Aamir will get completely absorbed. So before that, he wants to spend as much time with his family as possible,” says a close friend of Aamir. For those not in the know, Aamir has a sprawling home in Panchgani.

“Their vacation home is dear to both Aamir and Kiran. They love spending time together at their private abode. So, whenever there is an opportunity to go there, neither of them wants to miss out on it,” says the insider.

“Otherwise too, Aamir prefers spending time alone with family instead of having big parties to celebrate occasions like birthdays.”Although Aamir couldn’t be reached for a comment, his spokesperson confirmed the news without disclosing any further details.
