Despite the negative reviews, Race 2 has successfully managed to enter the 100-crore-club, thereby giving its makers enough reason to plan another sequel. However in a recent media interaction, Saif admitted that parts of Race 2 came across as fake and the focus was too much on the visuals (especially in the second half). Khan said that the film had the potential to come close to a Rs 150 crore had some portions been tighter.
However Saif remains a fan of the franchise and is gung-ho about the third part. But this time he promises to make sure that the script is truly amazing. In fact it is believed that the writers have already locked a couple of concrete ideas for Race 3. Saif feels there are many fans of the Race franchise and they will continue to support the future installments as well. At the same time the actor also feels that it is time to look beyond the 100-crore figure and push numbers way above that mark.
