The Slumdog Millionaire star joins hands with the fashion magazine to empower the cause of the girl child. Freida Pinto is all set to play host to Hollywood’s glitterati including superstars and talented technicians at one of the most prestigious and high-profile parties. Considered as a run up to the Academy Awards, Freida and the fashion and current affairs magazine will co-host a special pre-Oscar bash to further the cause of the girl child.

The event is a part of the 14th installment of Campaign Hollywood, the magazine’s annual, week-long celebration leading up to the Academy Awards. Known to be one of the well-attended and sought after celebratory function, it will also mark the 100th anniversary of the glossy. Called ‘DJ Night with Freida Pinto and Vanity Fair,’ the ceremony will feature a special performance by DJ ACE. The proceeds from the event will go towards education of girls around the world through film and social media advocacy. Not many know that Ms Pinto is also the global ambassador for Plan International’s Because I Am A Girl campaign focusing on the girl child. Great going Freida!
