The victory is on the social networking site Facebook. The Jai Ho star has emerged as the winner in the popularity battle between him and his arch rival. There has been a constant war between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan for the past few years. The superstars have been duelling for top position in the popularity stakes. And it looks like in the most recent face-off the Dabangg Khan has beaten SRK on the popularity meter – the Jai Ho actor has 12 million followers on his Facebook page while the Chennai Express king has only 5 million followers. Salman has also defeated Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, who have 8 million and 5 million followers respectively.
The eternal bachelor of B-town has one more victory to celebrate – he was named the most searched Bollywood celebrity on Google in 2013. Salman has not had a single release in 2013, but still rules on social networking websites. Why? Maybe the credit goes to the recently concluded high voltage reality show Bigg Boss 7 that Salman hosted on weekends. As you will remember, Salman created quite a furor on Bigg Boss 7 after he was accused of being biased towards a few contestants. The superstar received a lot of flak from his haters and surprisingly, his lovers too, during the show. Looks like the negative publicity has worked for the man. Well, as they say, any publicity is good publicity, right? Apart from Bigg Boss 7, Salman has also been creating a buzz in the Internet space for his new film Jai Ho, which will be released on January 24.
