The presence of at least one Bollywood face on reality shows has become a norm of sorts. So, for the new show India's Dancing Superstar (IDS), with choreographers Geeta Kapur and Ashley Lobo already finalised, the channel is desperate to rope in a Bollywood celebrity for the third judge's spot. It seems the channel (Star Plus) initially approached Arshad Warsi for the show, since he is known for his dancing abilities and was a choreographer before he turned actor. "He declined as it was tough for him to manage his dates in April," a source tells us.
Now, Govinda seems to have been approached for the show. The actor was last seen on the same channel on the celebrity dance reality show, Nach Baliye, as a guest. "Talks with Govinda are on, and the makers are still waiting for him to get back. He was a riot on the sets of Nach Baliye and is still popular for his dancing style. So if he does come on board, it will be perfect for the show," the source adds. The auditions for the show started last month, with the latest leg taking place in Mumbai. "The channel has to finalise the third judge and start promotions soon. The shooting for IDS will start around April 10. The show is scheduled to go on air towards the end of April," reveals the source.
