It seems Prabhu Deva is mesmerized with film titles that starts with the alphabet ‘R’ and has a jingle in the name. So, after ‘Rowdy Rathore’, it is ‘Rambo Rajkumar’. Initially, it was heard that the project was named ‘Namak’. But on questioning Prabhu Deva clarified by saying that, “I don’t know how this name came about, but this is not it. The movie is for the masses, and we will come up with a suitable title.” He farther added at that time, “I can’t say anything about the title. The producers have big plans to launch everything, including the film’s name.”
The producer certainly proved that they had big plans. ‘Rambo’ is a name globally associated with action and war. The legendary actor Sylvester Stallone made the name ‘Rambo’ unforgettable. So what is the movie ‘Rambo Rajkumar’ going to be about? Obviously it is an out and out action movie. Shahid Kapoor is going to be in the lead role. This will be interesting as the movie goers have always seen Shahid in romantic roles except ‘Kaminey (2009)’. Will Shahid be able to break away from his chocolate boy image and successfully don the character of an action hero? Well we will have to wait to get the answers. Also this will be the first time that Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor will be paired together. But the biggest news surrounding the movie is that Prabhu Deva is trying to arrange a meeting between the original ‘Rambo’ aka Stallone himself and Shahid. According to the sources the producer of the movie, Vicky Rajani is eager that the two actors meet so that Shahid can pick up a few tips from the veteran about enacting his role.
No doubt Shahid will be looking forward to the meeting as he too grew up on the staple diet of the ‘Rambo’ action movies and meeting its hero in person is a dream come true. We would have been bowled over if Stallone appeared even on a single scene in the movie. However, what we hear is that is not to be. However, the transformation of Shahid from a chocolate boy to action hunk will be worth the watch. We wish him all the best. According to the grapevines he is already charged up about his role. A close source tells, “He is eagerly looking forward to working with Prabhudheva. They seem to have become great friends of late.”
